The 2024 WE Fundraiser was a Success!
We’re excited to share that our November 10th fundraiser was a great success, helping bring us to 43% of our $300K year-end goal! Between this event and other fundraising initiatives, we have raised $130,000 this fall, and we have $170,000 left to go before Dec 31st. With that in mind we are thrilled to announce the results of the Community Matching Grant we launched at the party.
Thanks to the generosity of 11 community members at the event, we generated a collective matching grant of $53,000. This means that if you donate between now and the end of the year your dollars will be doubled up to $53K! We couldn’t be more humbled and thankful for this incredible communal effort.

An Evening to Remember!
With around 150 attendees, the event was filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable moments. From giant bubbles with Tyler Snow, to face painting with Lynn Rey, to the all-ages nature scavenger hunt designed by WE’s youth and family team, to the curiousity-inducing performances by the Murmur dance troupe in full bird regalia, there was magic in the air.
The Beau Beau Band, featuring members of the California Honeydrops, kept the people dancing, and Culinary Magic delighted us with a delicious spread, complemented by wine tastings from Pax Wines. A huge shout-out to Culinary Magic for their exceptional cuisine and to Pax Wines for their generous contributions!
Memorable Auction Highlights
Our silent auction was full of surprises, with spectacular items up for grabs. Some highlights include a guided glacier climb in the Cascades, a two night stay at River’s Bend Retreat Center, and a unique fire-by-friction lesson with Weaving Earth’s own Lara Birchler. But the biggest (and most comical) surprise? A spirited bidding bonanza over one of Lauren and Dave’s houseplants! (check out the photo gallery to see the happy winners).

Heartfelt Community Moments
It was moving to witness our community come together, especially during such a challenging time. Many folx said, “That was just what I needed.” From cozy fireside conversations and marshmallow roasting to heartfelt reunions and joyful dancing, the evening was a helpful reminder of the power of our collective spirit. We felt immense gratitude for the warmth and camaraderie shared among friends and neighbors.
