At Weaving Earth, we hold mentoring as a sacred, foundational area of our work. We believe it to be an essential ingredient to the transmission of skills and perspectives, between generations and across spectrums of difference. At its best, mentoring is collective and reciprocal, whereby the hats of “teacher” and “student” are ever in flux and shared by many. Mentoring is at least a two-way street, if not an entire ecological network. Perhaps most importantly, we hold nature as the bedrock of all our mentoring work, and recognize our interrelationship with the natural world as the original mentoring container.
